Currently the dual bar setup is only due eww not supporting a tray, which may get solved in the near future by system-tray.

Nevertheless the dual bar setup has its merits. In particular the current window title and mpd may be displayed easily. We could have:

  • Vertical bar displays workspaces and system tray
  • Horizontal bar displays window title, mpd, and system information
